This week we will be practicing each station one day at a time. As a class, we will be working through R on Monday, EA on Tuesday, another EA on Wednesday and D on Thursday. Normally, I will be doing stations 3x/week, with the students doing each station daily for 15 minutes. The other two days will include extended independent reading, as well as other projects and activities.

Here is the overview for the week:

On Monday, we will be going over the procedures for R: Respond, Reflect, Revisit.

This station will involve students completing their weekly journal entries to me (a letter in which they tell me about what they are reading, and then a paragraph on their thoughts -- we will be practicing this together on Friday). This week, they will be answering a question about our current read aloud - Home of the Brave. They will answer the question independently, and then share with their groups. We will be practicing this together, and talking about constructive feedback, and how we can respond to each other.
As a district, we use the Words Their Way system for spelling, and students are put into groups based upon their spelling level. This week, we will be doing an easier list together, again, working on procedures. We will glue our sorts into our notebooks on Tuesday, and on Wednesday, they will complete two activities from a Tic Tac Toe board (freebie on TPT!)

This station will usually involve students reading a passage. It may be from our read aloud, or something we read together during Social Studies. They will work with the same passage for the week -- allowing them to become very familiar with it, and look into it more closely. However, this week, we will only be doing this station once. Students will be asked to read the passage with a partner, and answer questions -- highlighting the text to help them create in depth responses. Again, this week we will be doing some of this together to work on procedures and expectations.

And there you have it!! Our plans for the week for Reading stations. We will be incorporating these into our workshop time. Mini lesson, independent reading, then stations. I'll be stealing some time from writing on the three days that we do stations, but I feel it will greatly benefit my students.

Mrs.Vaclavikhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12618641222882789002noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-651454000026419938.post-62104509793609575502015-08-29T21:46:00.000-04:002015-08-29T21:46:33.522-04:00Math Stations - Week ONE!I blogged earlier about how I am setting up my math class this year with stations. I have decided that we will jump right in on Week 2 of school and get these lovelies going! This week we are working on multi-digit multiplication. I quickly found out on Friday that my students didn't get as far as I had hoped last year, so we are spending more time on this concept than anticipated - but hey! That's the teacher life! Adapting to everything!

Okay - back to the stations. I have four stations going in my room. Each group will visit 1 station each day M-Th. On Friday we will have quizzes, tests, and other goodies (including working on the computers for Accelerated Math). My stations are as follows:

M: Math games
A: At your seat
T: Timed practice
H: Hands-on

Here is my overview for the week that will be posted on the group board.

Let's start with M: Math Games. This week: DICE DIGITS!

I am going to be using a FREEBIE for the worksheet portion of this station. You can find the freebie HERE on tpt.

Up next is A: At Your Seat. This week is task cards around double digit multiplication. The cards I am using have QR codes on them, but I don't believe I will have them check their work this week.

The task cards I am using can be found HERE (also a FREEBIE!) And they are so super cute!! I mean seriously - look at these cutie pie owls.

The next station is T: Timed Practice. This week they are going to be practicing multiplication facts for two minutes. They will then check their work and create flash cards for 10 problems that they got wrong.

Lastly, we have H: Hands On. This station is going to be the one that changes the most. Some weeks they will just have manipulatives to use. Other weeks, perhaps they will be on the computer. Some weeks will be a STEM type of activity. I am just going to roll with what I can find and create this year. This week, students will be making Cootie Catchers to work on their 8 facts. I found that this was where so many of them made mistakes this past week - so I want to make sure to focus on them this week.

I got the cootie catchers as another FREEBIE (hey - don't judge, I don't get paid til next week), and you can find it HERE. It is super cute, and easy for the kiddos to do.

Whoo! That is it for now. It is definitely going to take some planning, and some practice, but I am SUPER hopeful that my students will benefit immensely from this new format. Questions or comments? Leave em below!

So I watched a periscope today by Miss Meg from Meg's New Box of Crayons all about how she uses a QR code to keep track of her second graders leaving the room...and last year she did it with firsties. Mind. BLOWN.

This is going to help me stay organized this year with my fifth graders. AND - they will want to sign out and in, because they will get to use the iPad to do so. Yep.

So...how does it work?

When one of my darlings needs to leave the room (bathroom, drink, nurse, office, etc...), they will grab an iPad (we have two in our classroom from DonorsChoose!) and scan the QR Code.

When they do -- the will see this!

The student will then choose their name from the drop down menu.

And then click on where they are heading.

Finally - they click SUBMIT. And off they go -- leaving the iPad in the classroom. When they click SUBMIT - their info automatically goes into a spreadsheet on my google drive, connected to the form.

AND did I mention it TIME STAMPS them?? When my little lovely returns from wherever their travels have taken them - they check back in - this time using the check-in QR.

Again - their info is added to a spreadsheet.
I am going to be able to easily see my frequent flyers, and those who take a crazy amount of time getting a drink. I will have that data handy for my data-driven-decision-making when I decide to chat with them about their time out of the room.

Plus - I think it is pretty cool.
Til next time!

Check out these beauties...

Now what am I using them for? Well, let's start at the top.

MATH!
M: Math Games
A: At your seat (task cards)
T: Timed practice
H: Hand's on

These are going to be on my bins for my math workshop. I got the idea from Ashlyn over at The Creative Classroom. Check her out here...

For Math this year, I am thinking of the following schedule (we have an hour for math)
Whole-group lesson/discussion/practice: 35-40 minutes
Station Work: 20 minutes

During station work - the students will visit one of the above stations each day (1 day/week will be for extended practice, tests, and/or accelerated math work on computers). During this time, I will pull small groups of students for some additional instruction based on needs. Their station groups will be heterogeneous, where as the skill based groups may contain students from each group.

Breakdown of the stations:
M: Math Games
Students will play a math game related to the skill we are working on that week. These might be folder games, board games, dice games, cards, etc.
A: At your Seat
These will be task cards. I have a bunch in my wish list for tomorrow's TPT sale! Students will complete these and turn in their sheets for me to check.
T: Timed Practice
Our math fluency is timed multi-digit multiplication. Students will time themselves working on these skills, and others.
H: Hands-on
This station will be more performance task activities. I will also be trying to incorporate some STEM activities, and critical thinking skills.

Now onto READING!
I also adapted this idea from The Creative Classroom and am so excited to use it for my fifth graders. I had tried the Daily Five before, in previous years, but just couldn't find a way to make it fit for my kiddos. I think this may be the solution!
R: Read, Reflect, Respond.
EA: Exploring Amazing words
D: Duo Work.

In reading, I only have a 60 minute block as well. This means that our read aloud will be pushed to a different part of the day. It also means that I will be stealing some time from our writing block 3 times/week. However -- I do not see this being an issue, since we will be incorporating writing and word work into reading.

My idea for a reading block schedule this year is:
Mini-lesson: 10 - 15 minutes
Independent Reading: MWF: 30 minutes TT: 45 minutes (extended IR on these days - no station work)
Station Work: MWF: 15 minutes during this period/30 minutes of writing block.

Students will go to stations on MWF. These three days will have them completing each station, each day. On TT, there will be no stations - but rather extended independent reading.

Breakdown of the stations
R: Read, Reflect, Respond
This is going to be different things on different days. Some days, students will have a reading discussion with their groups. They may re-read a piece we read together in the mini-lesson and analyze it. Perhaps they will fill out a reflection log -- or work on something in their IRNs (Interactive Reading Notebooks).
EA: Exploring Amazing Words
In my district, we use Words Their Way. Students will be working with their word sorts in the EA station - as well as other academic vocabulary. I also love LOVE LOVE Flocabulary, and will be using it again this year. This station could also include re-watching the Flocabulary lesson for the week and completing an activity.
D: Duo work
This station will also vary based on what we are working on. This may be a time for partner reading and working on fluency. Or partner discussions.

Onto the names!
These clothespins with the names on them will be used on our closet doors in our classroom. I plan to hot glue them on, and put student work up on them :) I may have students choose their awesome work to put on their clip, or I may choose for them. I haven't quite decided yet -- but I am super excited to be able to showcase their work!

So that is it for now!
In the comments - let me know what you think! What are your favorite ways to organize stations? Mrs.Vaclavikhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12618641222882789002noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-651454000026419938.post-6948662896070074232015-08-02T13:08:00.001-04:002015-08-02T13:08:56.214-04:00Nap Time Create Time!I try to be as productive as possible while my goobers are sleeping! Today's project was designing and ordering (thank you VistaPrint for your amazing coupons!), my welcome to my classroom postcards for my incoming fifth graders!

The school I teach at is grades 5-8, so our incoming fifth graders are newbies to our school, and are usually a bit worried about what will happen. I am trying to ease their worries and let them (and their parents!) know that I am here for them and we will have a great year.

Check out my postcard!

Do you send a postcard, letter, or any other goodies to your new class? Would love to hear about what you do! Mrs.Vaclavikhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12618641222882789002noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-651454000026419938.post-70206259729233161982015-08-02T09:42:00.001-04:002015-08-02T11:45:54.913-04:00Currently...I was super excited when I jumped on IG today and saw that the fabulous, @farleyfarleyfarley had posted a "currently" just for IG use!! Woot woot!! So of course, I jumped on that and posted mine (follow me at @vaclavikk).
Here is my IG Currently:

So then I just had to jump over to her blog: (http://www.ohboy3rdgrade.blogspot.com/ ) and find the actual "Currently" post so I could jump on that!

So without further delay....here is mine!

These days Landyn is loving singing his ABCs and every other song he knows- he is so ready for pre-school to start and be able to learn and sing everyday! Have you ever frozen grapes? No? Well - you should. They are amazing. I am thinking of bringing the kids swimming today - that should surely get me off the couch :)
I can't believe it is already August and that means less than a month left of summer vacation! Where did the time go? Where did my sleep go? Oh yeah - my toddlers refuse to sleep late in the morning...plotting my revenge when they are teenagers :)
I am hoping to get out and get some school supplies to donate as well -- I know all too well how many kids come to school without the needed tools.

So that is it! Go on over to Oh Boy 4th Grade and grab your own currently! What are you up to today?
Again -- life just gets in the way sometimes! But this time, I am bound and determined to keep up with this little blog of mine! I find it cathartic to just sit at my laptop and type, so here I am!

So what I have been up to?

Well firstly - being a mom on summer vacation with these two goobers!
So, what is up next?
I am going to be enjoying my last few weeks with my kids, keeping up with this BLOG, spending time with my hubs, making goodies for my classroom, and being the best Jam leader I can be! And YOU have a front row seat! Hope you enjoy everything that is to come!
I blame summer for getting in the way of me blogging. I blame my children for being so adorable and wanting to play with me. I blame Jamberry, for allowing me to join them and become a consultant. I blame KVCreates for staying consistent all summer long. I blame warm days and cool nights with my hubby. I blame wanting to catch every single instant of my kids' childhoods through the lens of my iPhone. I blame doing professional reading to become a better teacher. I blame reading My Truck is Stuck 5,000 times to be a better mother. I blame house buying! I blame life. Yep. Life just got in the way this summer, and I am okay with that...I mean it has been pretty wonderful.
There's a Feb Mama for that! When I was first pregnant with Landyn I experienced many emotions. A lot of them centered around who in the world I was going to talk to about this pregnancy when my mom wasn't there. I won't go into the sad, emotional stuff about that, but you get the picture. So one day, I stumbled upon this website - www.thebump.com. I found a message board full of women who were also do in February 2012! That forum eventually found its way to Facebook where we have been ever since. If you know me in real life, you know I often refer to my Feb moms in conversation. I talk about them as if they are my true life friends, well, because they are. I talk to them about everything and vice versa. We have experienced highs, lows, deaths, miscarriages, marriages, divorces, teething, first foods, first words, first steps, toddler hood and so much more together. I truly wish that everyone, especially every new, first time mom, or even second or third or fourth time mom, could experience the bond that I share with these ladies. No, I will not share them in that aspect, but I will share their amazing talents with you, which is the point of this post!!

So many of us are working in the direct sales field. We can literally just jump on facebook and ask, hey who sells.... and someone does! I wanted to share the feb love with all of you and let you know that these ladies are AMAZING at what they do. I have personally experienced many of their products and can vouch for their expertise for what they sell. So you need something...well here ya go. The JACKPOT:
I recently bought a warmer from Katy and am in LOVE. It is proudly sitting in my classroom. Fifth graders tend to get a bit stinky (and I say that in the most loving way possible), this time of year, so it was a blessing when she posted that she had a teacher warmer available. And I mean, seriously, how cute was she with the box :)
I was then introduced to the wonderful world of Jamberry and will never look back!

So what exactly is Jamberry? They are nail wraps that you apply to your nails with a little bit of heat. It is SO incredibly easy to apply and then enjoy. Because let's be honest...I have no time to sit around and do my nails. Nor do I have the money to go out and get a manicure every few weeks, just to have it start to chip in a couple of days. So why do I LOVE Jamberry?

1) each wrap is only $15. And oh ya, each "wrap" sheet will get you 2 manicures and even a couple of pedicures. They look like this:

2) they have an AMAZING deal, that is going on at all times. Buy 3 get one free! So you spend $45 and get 4 sheets of wraps. They are great to mix and match and coordinate with your mood, outfit, the season, an event, you name it!

3) they are incredibly easy to apply. I will go through the steps that I did today.

FIRST: Choose which jams you want to use.

Yes, I have a lot. Know how I got that many? I hosted an online facebook party with my dear friend Steph at wrapandgonails.jamberrynails.net l! She did all the work. I sat back and earned free wraps. Win win.

SECOND: Measure your nail to decide which wrap you are going to use.

THIRD: Life the wrap up by the edge with tweezers and cut the wrap in half. Each of those ovaly looking things are good for TWO nails!

FOURTH: Apply your wrap to your nail and press down.

FIFTH: Add in your heat! Steph was nice enough to send me a rice bag. They are super easy to make, or you can purchase one from her. I have also used my heater at home, some use a blow dryer as well. Apply your heat to the wrap one way or another. Then you will want to smooth it out with an orange stick, or your finger, or a pencil eraser. Anything works really in my experience. You also trim it down after doing this! (I forgot to take a picture of that.)

You then have a lovely, jamified, nail!

Redo this process for each nail and you are done.

It hardly takes any time at all! From start to finish, if I hadn't been interrupted by sweet Savannah (I mean really - how can you get anything done when all she wants to do is cuddle with you??)

Where was I? Oh yes, if I hadn't been interrupted, the whole process would have taken less than 20 minutes. Easy PEASY!

I work full time teaching my lovely fifth graders. I work full time as a mommy to two beautiful children. I work full time as a wife to my hubby. And I work part time as a crafter now!

Due to all of this juggling, something had to go, and that something has been something that I have been doing for the past 6 years - coaching cheerleading. I have coached cheer at my school for 6 years. I have seen girls come in as little sixth graders and leave as mature (sort of!) eighth graders. These girls have been there during my mom dying, me getting married, having both L and S, and many other life events. Yesterday, we had our end of the season banquet (a little late). The girls came down to my classroom and decorated cups with vinyl I had cut. We chatted and enjoyed our last day together.
Yesterday, we also said hello to the opera! My students have been learning about the opera in music class, and the culminating activity is viewing an opera performance. This year, we saw "Gianni schicchi". My students seems to enjoy it.

Last night, my good friend Rachelle came over. She recently got a Silhouette Cameo!! (welcome to the dark side!!), and I showed her some tricks that I have learned since getting mine for Christmas. We worked on creating her very first HTV shirt, one that says "Beach Babe" for her daughter, S. You can check out her blog also! (mycreativechaos107.blogspot.com).

I also made L a new shirt for the summer :) It will be available in my etsy shop soon! If you would like one before then, please just message me.
Today was our DARE graduation for our fifth graders. We sat in the auditorium, all proudly adorning out lime green DARE shirts and listened as 8 brave fifth graders, with immense talent in writing shared their winning essays. Miss Abby from my class delivered an amazing essay, which she made rhyme throughout the entire thing. I am so proud to have taught her this year, along with my other little loves.

Following the essays, poster winners were announced (Mr. Nick from my room), and the students all said their DARE pledge. They said "I will" to different ways to turn down drugs and alcohol and pledged to live a drug and alcohol free life. I was very proud of them, as was the audience (full of moms, dads, grandparents and siblings).

Then it was off to the game!

We went to Dodd Stadium in Norwich to watch the UCONN Huskies battle URI. My students and I, of course, had to take a selfie.
The day was perfect. It was overcast and cool, with a nice breeze. Never once did I think about my poor, pasty skin that hadn't seen any sort of sunlight in months thanks to this eternal winter we have been living in. Which, on a sidenote, as much as I adore the movie "Frozen", I think Mother Nature saw it a few too many times and was inspired! So back to the skin. We enjoyed the game, got back to school and one of my students mentioned I got a little red. No big deal...until I got home and saw my face.
Yes, it hurts as much as it looks like it does. And you can see where my side bang goes. Lots of aloe on my face tonight and hopefully it won't look too bad tomorrow, because guess what?! We have another field trip.

To the opera.
You know you're jealous ;-p
My students carefully chose colors and supplies to make their mom the perfect card. I even let them use, GASP, glitter!!

Any students who wanted to use glitter had to use it in the "glitter zone", as I didn't want to end up with glitter everywhere. It worked...I mean as much as it can work for 10 year olds.

It is always hard for me when this time of year comes around. I find myself thinking back about my mom and wishing she were here to enjoy this time with me and my babies. I know she is always with us, and watching over us, and I feel her daily. But, it just isn't the same. I never thought that I would be a mother without my mom here. I always pictured her at my side and as a confidant as I figured out this whole motherhood thing. I think I am doing an okay job, just not the way I had always thought it would go.

Landyn is such a silly goober these days. He loves to run around and talk about cars, trains, airplanes, and truly just enjoys being around his sister (which I love!). Savannah is sitting up, babbling, rolling over and trying to scoot. She doesn't quite get that she needs to go forward, but she will learn that eventually :)

We recently had a mommy and me photoshoot where I was reminded about how much my kids really do love me :)

While Landyn was a terror during the shoot, Michelle from Sweet Perspectives Photography was able to capture this moment of the two of us, standing on a rock in the lake, and I LOVE it!! Savannah, of course, loves to be cuddled, so this shot of the two of us truly shows our bond.

This week is also Teacher Appreciation Week! My school has done some awesome things for us. We received frames that had been signed by our students, with words they had written about us included. It truly made me remember why I teach. We also have had some breakfast and lunch treats, and today received our third installment of the "Teachers Rock" cds. My students have been spoiling me as well, with lots of handmade goodies!
Lastly, I feel so blessed that I have found an outlet for my creativity. I love creating things for my Etsy and Teachers Pay Teachers shop. This is my latest item on sale, and my students have done a great job with it reviewing all of the math we have learned this year.
But my crafting business, KVCreates, has been taking off as well! I have been contacted almost everyday to create something for someone, and I am loving it! I don't know what I would do without my Cameo. If you are interested in buying one, check it out here.

So now it's time to play catch up and share what I have been making!

I LOVE these tshirts and onesies. I took the beloved song, "Toes" by Zac Brown Band and just changed up the lyrics a little bit. This shirt headed off to a super cute two year old boy.

This past weekend we had a birthday party for a bubble loving two year old little lady. I personalized a bucket with her first initial and filled it with bubble wands and bubbles of all kinds! She loved it :)

Also this past weekend, I had a baby shower for my dear friend Barbara. She is expecting her second child, a girl who they are naming Trinity. The theme of her nursery is owls! I made her a darling little bucket, a onesie with an owl, a onesie with a T on it, as well as one that says "I drink straight from the tap". I stalked her pinterest and saw some items she pinned, and tried to recreate them! I also made her a "Mommy's Sippy Cup". I hope once T arrives she is able to relax a little and try it out. Even if it is only with cider for a little while :)
I was lucky enough to win a Burts Bees House Party! However, it is the time of parties, so I have ben having a party on the go! I personalized these canvas totes that the Burts Bees people sent me for some amazing mamas. In each tote they each got two trial size tubes of Burts Bees diaper cream, along with some coupons.
Last, but certainly not least...have you ever had people in your lives who are enablers, but in the best way possible? Well that is what my Feb mamas and November mamas are. Enablers. And wallet hurters haha! A fellow November mama showed us a picture of this chair.

Super cute, right? So of course I had to buy one...okay two. Then, we had the great idea to add some vinyl! So I made some monograms for some other November mamas who bought them as well.
I have always loved to create things. I remember being little and insisting that my mom buy me craft kits so I could make new things. I used to do cross stitch and my aunt still has one I made her when she was pregnant with my cousin (who is now 16!). I was fortunate enough to get a Silhouette Cameo for Christmas from my amazing hubby, and have not stopped to breathe for a moment since I got it! I love to make tshirts, canvas creations, car decals, water bottles, wine glasses, you name it, and I am trying to decorate it :)

Tonight, I finished up a few orders I had and would like to share with you all!

Up first was a Disney Themed canvas for an Etsy client. These are so fun to customize, and of course the client can choose what couples they want on it. I love that this lovely lady chose to add Pongo & Perdita from "101 Dalmations" and "Milo & Kida" from Atlantis!

Next came some car decals for a fellow February mama! She is also a Disney fan, so we ran with that theme. Her and her husband have an adorable little girl and two handsome boys. Can't wait to see this on their car :)

Mother's day is just around the corner! I made two of these "Mommy's Sippy Cup" vino to go cups for a fellow November mama. I can't wait for her to try them out!

Tomorrow night, I will be finishing up some shirt orders and a couple of Mother's Day gifts of my own to send to some amazing mamas that I am so blessed to have in my life!

Off to bed I go...unless my crazy crafting high doesn't go away...
My students are at gym...Just wanted to do a super quick post while I have a minute. My students are at gym :)

We are currently studying VOLUME in math class. I have found it uber helpful to upload videos I make to my teacher webpage on our school's website. Students are able to click it and watch the video to see how I taught the concept to them. I think this is also really helpful for parents! They often do not know the new methods we teach the students, so this is helping tremendously.

How I do it:
I use a program called "Educreations" on our iPad mini to record the lesson.

I then upload the lesson to Educreations website. I think the only downfall of this app is that I can't upload directly to YouTube.

I downloaded another program called "Screencast-O-Matic" to do this! All I do is play the video from the Educreations website, and the Screencast-O-Matic records it for me. I am then able to upload it directly to YouTube.

That's it!

Want a review on volume of rectangular prisms? CLICK HERE

Lots of love,
We were lucky to sleep in late, as Landyn was exhausted from our day at the zoo yesterday (with no nap -- yeah I don't recommend that for a 2 year old who is used to napping...). We played outside for a bit before nap today.
Then it was inside and NAP time!! While they napped, I was able to get a new resource ready to use this week with my class. We have SBAC testing coming up, and we desperately need to review parts of speech. We will be watching Flocabulary videos throughout the week about parts of speech and filling in this graphic organizer. Also, on Monday, students will write a story about Bacon's Rebellion (we just finished covering this event in Social Studies). Throughout the week, as we review the different parts of speech, they will edit their writing for that particular part. So for example, on Monday we will watch an over arching review and they will write their piece. On Tuesday, we will watch a noun review, and they will go through and edit for nouns. Wednesday may be adjectives and verbs, and they will edit and revise for that. Thursday adverbs and pronouns, and Friday prepositions and interjections. Get what I mean?

So I made a graphic organizer flip chart for my kids to glue down to keep their definitions straight. I am a Star Wars geek admittedly and I ran with that theme. This resource will be FREE until Monday afternoon on my TPT Shop. Check it out!
I think it came out pretty darn cute!

In this product, students will be able to glue a foldable into their interactive math notebooks. We LOVE our interactive math notebooks, and our IRNs (interactive reading notebooks) in our classroom! The students are able to manipulate something to help them learn the skill or concept. In this case, they will use this foldable to take notes about PEMDAS.

Students will then complete a practice sheet where they have to circle the expression that will be evaluated first, and then solve the problem.
As a follow up activity, students will do a QR Task Card activity. My kids LOVE doing these, because it allows them to use our classroom iPad minis (thank you to the parents of my kids/friends and Donors Choose!) to scan the code and the answer pops up. They will compare their answer from their recording sheet with the answer on the screen. This is where I see a lot of my students then going back to their desks to figure out where they went wrong. If they got the answer correct, they grab a new task card and repeat the process. QR codes are super easy to create, and you can just google "QR Code Generator" to try it yourself.
I am starting this blog to help my students, friends, and family keep up with what is going on in my crazy life! I also hope to help out teachers with some resources that I make and will do freebies before putting them up on my TPT shop. I have also recently opened up at Etsy shop to sell some crafty goods that I made using my Silhouette Cameo. I truly do not know how I survived without that little machine.

A little about me:
My family is my life. I am married to the love of my life, Sean, and we have two amazingly beautiful children. Landyn in 2 and Savannah is almost 6 months. They drive me batty sometimes, but my world would not be the same without them.
I am a teacher of fifth grade, and have been for six years. I was lucky enough to student teach, sub and be hired all at the same school. I love my colleagues and they really make work fun, along with my rambunctious 10 year olds!
I love to craft and create and smile and laugh.

I hope you enjoy being here and reading my antics, I will try to keep them entertaining :)
